We are highly experienced mindfulness teachers who have trained hundreds of Londoners on the gold-standard 8-week mindfulness course (MBSR/MBCT). The Being Mindful teachers Tessa Watt and Debbie Johnson have over 20 years of personal mindfulness practice and have been teaching full-time since 2009. We provide a supportive environment in which you can learn lifelong skills to reduce stress and anxiety and enjoy your life to the full.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a program for reducing stress and anxiety which has been widely approved by the international medical community. It teaches greater awareness of our thoughts, feelings and sensations through simple techniques like meditation and gentle movement.
In the course you will learn:
- to stay in touch with the present moment and be less caught up in negative thought patterns
- to develop more helpful responses to stress
- to use simple meditation techniques which can transform daily life including sitting meditation exercises (eg mindfulness of breathing), body scan and yoga
We have years of experience of meditation practice and a commitment to making the benefits of mindfulness more widely known and experienced.
We run classes in London: our current course locations in Clapham and Borough are easily accessable from central London including the West End, the City, London Bridge and Waterloo. The Clapham venue is 5 minutes walk from Clapham Common station on the Northern Line. This location is especially convenient from Balham, Battersea, Brixton, Clapham Junction, Streatham, Tooting and Wandsworth.
We also offer 4-week courses for graduates of the 8-week MBSR course who would like to deepen and refresh their practice. Please join our mailing list to receive details of these courses when we offer them.
