Mindfulness training for workplaces and individuals
We are two of London's most experienced trainers offering mindfulness training for workplaces, as well as one-to-one sessions for individuals. Training can be in person or online.

We are not currently offering structured courses for the general public, but do contact us if you would like to discuss a course for your organisation or group, or a one-to-one session for yourself.
Mindful Fridays: End your week with practice together
9am-9:30am: Free drop-in sessions with Tessa on Friday mornings for participants who have completed a mindfulness course with us or another teacher. Please contact us for zoom details
Mindful Mondays: Monthly free mindfulness session.
8am-8:50: Free mindfulness sessions with Debbie on the first Monday of each month, for beginners as well as those with experience. Get a taste of what mindfulness is all about, and meet Debbie to experience her style of teaching. Please contact us for zoom details.
Why Being Mindful?
We are highly experienced mindfulness teachers who have trained over a thousand Londoners on the gold-standard 8-week mindfulness course (MBSR/MBCT). The Being Mindful teachers Tessa Watt and Debbie Johnson each have over 25 years of personal mindfulness practice and have been teaching full-time since 2009. We provide a supportive environment in which you can learn lifelong skills to reduce stress and anxiety and enjoy your life to the full.

Occasionally we run retreats and short courses for graduates of the 8-week MBSR course who would like to deepen and refresh their practice. Please see our Graduate Hub page and join our mailing list to receive details when we offer them.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Our teaching is grounded in our thorough training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). These are both programmes for reducing stress and anxiety which have been widely approved by the international medical community. They teach greater awareness of our thoughts, feelings and sensations through simple techniques like meditation and gentle movement.
We adapt our training for different contexts, but in all courses you will learn:
- to stay in touch with the present moment and be less caught up in negative thought patterns
- to develop more helpful responses to stress
- to use simple meditation techniques which can transform daily life including sitting meditation exercises (eg mindfulness of breathing), body scan and mindful movement
We have years of experience of meditation practice and a commitment to making the benefits of mindfulness more widely known and experienced.
Training in compassion and learning to open and soften to the difficulties of parenting via a group is extraordinarily helpful, we are often holding so much for the family and it can be a relief to be able to share and investigate our challenges in a supportive environment, and in this way alleviate and transform our parental suffering.
